What are the Celtics doing?

Team is going absolutely nowhere. Having Tatum and Brown together as a primary combo simply doesn't work (I know Brown is currently out, but in general it's not a good offensive set up).

Tatum got a little too much hype IMO last year. He's a pretty skilled player but seems to struggle with making the right basketball play a lot. You'd think by now he would've grown more as a player in that sense, but seems like he hasn't

Why the fuck is Marcus Smart still on the roster? He's an awful shooter who thinks he can shoot. He's like Westbrook except without nearly as much upside or playmaking ability. He should've been traded 3-4 years ago

And Al? Dude should be playing a bench role on a contender. Not this.

This team seems to get a lot of hype but their roster is simply not good enough to be a contender of any sort. Time to blow things up IMO or they're gonna be stuck in 6-10 seed purgatory

I gave 2.5 tonite and didn’t even bother watching as I was following the score and saw they had a comfortable lead.

I'd have to agree with your assessment. This team won't do anything significant against Eastern Conference top competition, unless some serious injury consideration come into play. I like Tatum but he definitely has a way to go before I would consider him an elite player.

Developing new rotations with new players and a new coach and a new system. It takes time, they'll get better

Thinking they're going to come out of the gates clicking on all cylinders under such circumstances is kinda silly

Belichick's teams historically start slow, with a few exceptions, they tend to jell in November

Calhoun's teams usually weren't serious contenders until the end of January

I watched this jell thingy for much of my life, I don't panic (or over react) early

Not really just a reaction to this season. They were garbage last year too.

Maybe they'll improve, but it's hard to see this team as having a ceiling that's higher than like 6th in the East with their roster construction

And Smart has been there a long while now.......WAAAAY too long in fact

I agree. They are playing hard. Well coached, and Mobley looks like a hell of a player

I think they lack offensive punch with Sexton out, though they do play a more cohesive style with just Garland out there (and they're also better defensively)

I hope they make a run to the playoffs. Would be weird to see the Cavs play meaningful basketball without LeBron

I like the fact that he seems committed to his significant other and raising his kids, but he's one of those dudes who thinks he's a lot smarter than he is

He should be thankful he's blessed with unique physical attributes and born in a country that gives him the opportunity to make insane money

Shooting, horrible shooting team. Everyone of their rotational roleplayers is a mediocre to bad 3pt shooter. The ones that are OK have slow releases and can’t get much volume off. Chore to win during the regular season like that nowadays. Can go cold at any time.
